old vic assignment part 1

For this assignment I had to either choose my favourite book or movie and do a marketing campaign for a theatre adaptation.

I chose a book called "Americanah" by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, a story about a Nigerian girl who moves to America with hopes of a better life.

  I then decided to create some background designs in relation to African design prints, these 3 were my final designs. The second design will be used as my logo for the tickets.

In a lot of designs artists use geometric 2d shapes and use the same colours in a repeated arrangement like above.
